    Financing Your New Volvo

    Last updated 13 days ago

When you are shopping for a new Volvo, the dealership financing department will be able to help you finance your purchase and drive home in the quality Volvo of your dreams. During your auto purchase, you will have several financing options available to you. From vehicle leasing to refinancing an existing loan, a Volvo financing department will help you choose the right financing plan for your needs. Here is an overview of some essential information about financing your new Volvo.

    Direct Lending
Some shoppers choose direct lending to fund their auto purchases. Direct lending is an auto financing term that describes a loan that is taken out directly from a bank, credit union, or other financial institution. After you purchase your Volvo, you will repay the bank loan over a set period of time. You can talk with your bank about the auto financing options that they provide to their customers.

    Dealership Financing
Dealership financing is a great option for car shoppers with all types of credit. Whether you have no credit or a perfect credit score, your Volvo dealership’s financing department will help you choose a financing plan that is suited to your situation. In addition, a dealership’s financing department can help you refinance your car loan with lower interest.

    Auto Leasing
If a low monthly payment is important for you, you may want to consider leasing a new Volvo. When you lease, you will be responsible for a small monthly payment and a low initial down payment. Instead of purchasing the vehicle, you will return the car to the dealership at the end of your lease.

To learn more about the great service that you can expect from the Volvo of Sarasota financing department, give our St. Petersburg dealership a call at (941) 924-1211. Getting Your Volvo Ready for Summer Driving

    Last updated 29 days ago

Even with gasoline prices at an all-time high, Americans can’t resist the lure of sunny skies and the open road during the summer months. However, warm weather can take its toll on your vehicle, especially if you’ve neglected routine maintenance over the years. Fortunately, there are some easy ways you can get your Volvo back in shape and ready for all of your summer road trips. Here’s how:

    Change the Oil and Filter
If you can’t remember the last time your Volvo had an oil change, stop by your Volvo dealership before you head out on any long road trips this summer. Old, dirty oil can rob your vehicle’s performance and fuel economy. If left long enough, old oil can even cause your engine to seize up, which can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars to repair.

    Check the Antifreeze
While most combustion engines are efficient at around 200 degrees, temperatures much hotter than this can cause the engine to actually melt and fuse together. Luckily, a chemical coolant called antifreeze keeps your car at its optimal running temperature. Make sure your coolant levels are adequate to prevent your car from overheating this summer.

    Look Beneath the Hood
Even if you aren’t mechanically inclined, it doesn’t take an engineering degree to recognize broken belts and hoses. Get in the habit of looking beneath your hood to check for any visual signs of damage or excessive wear. If you notice anything peculiar, bring your vehicle to the Volvo dealership and let a professional technician have a look at it.

For help getting your Volvo ready for summer driving, bring it to Volvo of Sarasota. Our parts and service department can keep your Volvo in tip-top shape. From routine maintenance to major repairs, you can trust Volvo of Sarasota with all of your vehicle service needs. To schedule a service appointment at our Volvo dealership, call us at (941) 225-2349 or contact us online.

Introducing the High-Performance Volvo V60 Polestar

    Last updated 1 month ago

The Volvo V60 is already one of the most capable luxury family wagons in the world, but that didn’t stop the speed freaks and adrenaline junkies at Polestar from taking the V60 to the next level. As an official partner of Volvo Cars, Polestar has been optimizing Volvo cars for the racing circuits since 1996, and now they are putting that technology inside high-performance passenger vehicles for the automotive enthusiast with discerning taste. Just have a look at what Volvo’s performance tuning department did with the special-edition, high-performance Volvo V60 Polestar.

    Sport-Tuned Engine and Twin-Scroll Turbo
For starters, Polestar tuned Volvo’s turbocharged 3.0-liter T6 engine with revised ECU mapping. The V60 Polestar also includes a 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust and a new Borg Warner twin-scroll turbo, all of which accounts for 345 horsepower and an incredible 369 ft-lb of torque.

Lighter Curb Weight and Recalibrated AWD System
To help improve the V60’s acceleration and handling, Polestar shaved as much weight as possible, bringing the V60 Polestar in at a surprising 3,790 lbs. Combined with a recalibrated Haldex all-wheel drive system, the new Volvo V60 Polestar luxury wagon achieves a 0-60 time of just 4.9 seconds.

    High-End Four Corner Suspension
The high-performance Polestar wagon features high-end Öhlins dampers at all four corners that are paired with springs that are 80 percent stiffer than those included on Volvo’s R-Design package. This capable suspension setup is complimented by big, vented brake rotors with Brembo-sourced six-pot front calipers and a set of Michelin Pilots SS tires.

The V60 Polestar will only see a limited production run of around 120 units in the United States. If you are interested in owning your very own V60 Polestar, contact Volvo of Sarasota. We also have a wide selection of new and used Volvo models to choose from, including the original V60 wagon. If you have any questions, call our Volvo dealership today at (941) 225-2349.
